Advanced Electrical Fault Finding
5 days|Delivered on request
This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into circuit breaker operation, earthing and bonding and the judgement calls that sit outside the SANS wiring code. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical safety procedure, condition monitoring and standby generation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review electrical safety procedure and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Bring condition monitoring into line with current good practice
- Take ownership of standby generation rather than escalating it
- Spot where cable fault location is failing before it becomes a finding
