Questions, answered straight
The things people actually ask before booking. If your question is not here, phone 069 221 6943 and ask.
- What does the fee include?
- Tuition, course materials and refreshments during the course. It excludes travel, accommodation and VAT: South African courses carry VAT at 15%, and on deliveries outside South Africa we confirm the VAT position on the quotation, because it depends on where your organisation is registered. South African courses run from R10 000 for two days to R18 000 for five. Live online courses are USD 900 whatever the length.
- Is the price on the website the price I will be invoiced?
- It is the standard fee. Group bookings, public sector rates and in-house delivery are usually quoted lower, so ask before assuming the listed figure. Only a written quotation from us is binding.
- Can we pay by card?
- Courses priced in dollars, which includes every online course and every course outside South Africa, can be paid by card at the point of registration. Rand priced courses are invoiced and settled by electronic transfer, because the card processor we use cannot handle rand.
- Do you invoice against a purchase order?
- Yes, and there is a field for your PO number on the registration form. We invoice the organisation, not the delegate, unless you ask otherwise.
- What happens after I register?
- You get an acknowledgement immediately, then a written confirmation from us with the venue, the joining instructions and an invoice. A registration on its own does not hold a seat until we confirm it.
- Can you run a course on a date that is not listed?
- Yes. Most of our work is delivered on request rather than from the published schedule. Tell us the programme, roughly how many delegates and the window you are working to.
- What is the difference between a published programme and one delivered on request?
- The eighteen published programmes are the courses we run regularly and publish in full. Everything else in the catalogue is a programme we can staff and deliver when a client asks for it. Both are real; only the scheduling differs.
- How many delegates do you need to run a course?
- A scheduled public course runs with a viable group, and we tell you honestly if a date is not going to fill rather than cancelling on you at the last minute. In-house has no minimum, though past roughly six delegates it is usually cheaper than sending people to a public course.
- Do you deliver outside South Africa?
- Yes. We deliver across Southern and East Africa, in West Africa, in Cairo and in Dubai, at a venue confirmed with you. Those courses are priced in dollars.
- Is the training accredited?
- We do not currently advertise an accreditation, and we would rather say that plainly than imply one. Delegates receive a certificate of attendance from us. If your organisation needs an accredited qualification specifically, tell us before booking and we will say honestly whether we are the right provider.
- What if I have to cancel?
- Substituting a different delegate is free and is usually the simplest answer. For cancellations, the terms are set out in the written confirmation we send you, so read that before you commit.
- Do you run courses online?
- Yes, facilitated live rather than recorded, so delegates can question the facilitator and work through their own scenarios in the session. It is not a video library.
