Advanced Energy Efficiency Management

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into power factor correction, insulation testing and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with variable speed drives, electrical fault analysis and standby generation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where variable speed drives is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Review electrical fault analysis and say plainly whether it is working
  • Explain standby generation to someone who does not do the work
  • Bring condition monitoring into line with current good practice

What the course covers

  • Power factor correction
  • Insulation testing
