Advanced Standby Power Systems
Electrical and Power Engineering|5 days|Classroom or live online
This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into load flow analysis, insulation testing and the judgement calls that sit outside recognised arc flash assessment practice. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with condition monitoring, motor control centres and substation operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review condition monitoring and say plainly whether it is working, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Put motor control centres on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Take ownership of substation operation rather than escalating it
- Bring protection relays into line with current good practice
