Advanced Third Party Risk

Risk and Compliance|5 days|Classroom or live online

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into risk identification, risk assessment methodology and the judgement calls that sit outside the Basel framework. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision. Delegates leave able to work confidently with risk culture, risk reporting to the board and business continuity planning in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Make a decision about risk culture without waiting for a specialist, measured against the Basel framework
  • Take ownership of risk reporting to the board rather than escalating it
  • Explain business continuity planning to someone who does not do the work
  • Review combined assurance and say plainly whether it is working
