Artificial Intelligence in Electrical Installation Standards
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through protection relays and switchgear maintenance as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with variable speed drives, earthing and bonding and cable fault location in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review variable speed drives and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Bring earthing and bonding into line with current good practice
- Put cable fault location on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Take ownership of lockout and tagout rather than escalating it
