Artificial Intelligence in Electrical Safety
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through standby generation and transformer maintenance as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with motor control centres, electrical fault analysis and insulation testing in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring motor control centres into line with current good practice, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Explain electrical fault analysis to someone who does not do the work
- Make a decision about insulation testing without waiting for a specialist
- Take ownership of protection relays rather than escalating it
