Artificial Intelligence in Power Factor Correction

Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online

This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through variable speed drives and power factor correction as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with earthing and bonding, lockout and tagout and electrical safety procedure in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review earthing and bonding and say plainly whether it is working, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
  • Improve lockout and tagout within their own organisation
  • Explain electrical safety procedure to someone who does not do the work
  • Put cable fault location on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
