Artificial Intelligence in Protection Systems
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through electrical fault analysis and earthing and bonding as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with load flow analysis, transformer maintenance and power factor correction in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of load flow analysis rather than escalating it, measured against IEC standards
- Make a decision about transformer maintenance without waiting for a specialist
- Review power factor correction and say plainly whether it is working
- Explain protection relays to someone who does not do the work
