Artificial Intelligence in Substation Operation
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through earthing and bonding and transformer maintenance as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with variable speed drives, protection relays and lockout and tagout in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring variable speed drives into line with current good practice, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Take ownership of protection relays rather than escalating it
- Put lockout and tagout on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Review insulation testing and say plainly whether it is working
