Artificial Intelligence in Switchgear Maintenance
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through variable speed drives and electrical fault analysis as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with cable fault location, motor control centres and earthing and bonding in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where cable fault location is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Explain motor control centres to someone who does not do the work
- Make a decision about earthing and bonding without waiting for a specialist
- Review switchgear maintenance and say plainly whether it is working
