Battery and UPS Systems for Managers
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers substation operation and lockout and tagout from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with insulation testing, motor control centres and condition monitoring in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of insulation testing rather than escalating it, measured against IEC standards
- Bring motor control centres into line with current good practice
- Put condition monitoring on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Explain variable speed drives to someone who does not do the work
