Battery and UPS Systems Masterclass

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into lockout and tagout, substation operation and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with power factor correction, variable speed drives and earthing and bonding in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Bring power factor correction into line with current good practice, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Take ownership of variable speed drives rather than escalating it
  • Review earthing and bonding and say plainly whether it is working
  • Spot where condition monitoring is failing before it becomes a finding
