Business Intelligence in the Public Sector
Data and Business Intelligence|3 days|Classroom or live online
Business Intelligence in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including scenario modelling, DAX and calculated measures and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because most organisations have more dashboards than decisions that depend on them, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with SQL querying, visual encoding choices and storytelling with data in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain SQL querying to someone who does not do the work, measured against recognised data governance frameworks
- Improve visual encoding choices within their own organisation
- Spot where storytelling with data is failing before it becomes a finding
- Bring data quality management into line with current good practice
