Capital Budgeting: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through impairment testing and financial statement preparation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with working capital management, consolidation and cost allocation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put working capital management on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the Companies Act
- Improve consolidation within their own organisation
- Review cost allocation and say plainly whether it is working
- Take ownership of treasury operations rather than escalating it
