Circuit Breaker Operation: Tools and Techniques
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through condition monitoring and transformer maintenance on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with earthing and bonding, electrical fault analysis and circuit breaker operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review earthing and bonding and say plainly whether it is working, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Explain electrical fault analysis to someone who does not do the work
- Take ownership of circuit breaker operation rather than escalating it
- Make a decision about load flow analysis without waiting for a specialist
