Condition Monitoring for Non-Specialists
Electrical and Power Engineering|2 days|Classroom or live online
Condition Monitoring for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through switchgear maintenance and circuit breaker operation without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with condition monitoring, motor control centres and lockout and tagout in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain condition monitoring to someone who does not do the work, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Review motor control centres and say plainly whether it is working
- Improve lockout and tagout within their own organisation
- Spot where power factor correction is failing before it becomes a finding
