Consolidation and Group Reporting: Tools and Techniques
3 days|Delivered on request
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through financial statement preparation and working capital management on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: reporting standards keep moving and finance teams carry the consequence of getting them wrong, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with lease accounting, revenue recognition and deferred tax in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve lease accounting within their own organisation, measured against GRAP for public entities
- Make a decision about revenue recognition without waiting for a specialist
- Explain deferred tax to someone who does not do the work
- Spot where financial instruments is failing before it becomes a finding
