Council and Committee Procedure Auditing and Assurance

3 days|Delivered on request

This programme is written from the assurance side. Delegates learn to test whether consequence management and records management are working as claimed, and how to evidence the conclusion. Assurance work is under scrutiny because officials are held personally accountable under legislation many have never been trained on. Delegates leave able to work confidently with integrated development planning, intergovernmental relations and public participation in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Put integrated development planning on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the MFMA
  • Improve intergovernmental relations within their own organisation
  • Bring public participation into line with current good practice
  • Spot where audit action planning is failing before it becomes a finding
