Credit Risk Management for Non-Specialists

Risk and Compliance|2 days|Classroom or live online

Credit Risk Management for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through risk appetite and tolerance and internal audit interface without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with business continuity planning, risk reporting to the board and risk culture in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review business continuity planning and say plainly whether it is working, measured against ISO 31000
  • Spot where risk reporting to the board is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Improve risk culture within their own organisation
  • Explain scenario analysis to someone who does not do the work
