Credit Risk Management: Tools and Techniques
Risk and Compliance|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through crisis management and control design on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: risk registers are widely maintained and rarely used in an actual decision, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with combined assurance, internal audit interface and risk appetite and tolerance in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where combined assurance is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Basel framework
- Explain internal audit interface to someone who does not do the work
- Put risk appetite and tolerance on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Take ownership of risk identification rather than escalating it
