Crisis Communication for Managers

Communications and Public Relations|3 days|Classroom or live online

This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers issues management and reputation measurement from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because internal communication failures surface later as engagement and retention problems, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with communication auditing, stakeholder mapping and social media strategy in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Make a decision about communication auditing without waiting for a specialist, measured against established corporate communication practice
  • Improve stakeholder mapping within their own organisation
  • Explain social media strategy to someone who does not do the work
  • Take ownership of speech writing rather than escalating it
