Debtors and Credit Control: Tools and Techniques
Finance and Accounting|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through management accounting and financial statement preparation on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: boards increasingly expect finance to explain the business, not only report on it, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with cost allocation, internal controls and budgeting and variance analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of cost allocation rather than escalating it, measured against the Companies Act
- Put internal controls on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Review budgeting and variance analysis and say plainly whether it is working
- Bring capital budgeting into line with current good practice
