Digital Transformation in Arc Flash Safety
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through standby generation and switchgear maintenance as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with earthing and bonding, lockout and tagout and variable speed drives in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review earthing and bonding and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Spot where lockout and tagout is failing before it becomes a finding
- Improve variable speed drives within their own organisation
- Put substation operation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
