Digital Transformation in Instrumentation and Control
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through switchgear maintenance and motor control centres as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal. Delegates leave able to work confidently with earthing and bonding, arc flash assessment and power factor correction in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where earthing and bonding is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Take ownership of arc flash assessment rather than escalating it
- Put power factor correction on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Review standby generation and say plainly whether it is working
