Digital Transformation in Substation Operation
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through electrical fault analysis and motor control centres as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with standby generation, transformer maintenance and earthing and bonding in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about standby generation without waiting for a specialist, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Improve transformer maintenance within their own organisation
- Explain earthing and bonding to someone who does not do the work
- Bring protection relays into line with current good practice
