Digital Transformation in Switchgear Maintenance

3 days|Delivered on request

This programme examines how the practice is shifting, and what delegates should adopt, adapt or ignore. It works through transformer maintenance and variable speed drives as they stand today and where they are heading. The shift is worth understanding because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, motor control centres and electrical safety procedure in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Explain circuit breaker operation to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Review motor control centres and say plainly whether it is working
  • Bring electrical safety procedure into line with current good practice
  • Spot where earthing and bonding is failing before it becomes a finding
