Electrical Fault Finding in the Public Sector
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Electrical Fault Finding in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including power factor correction, electrical safety procedure and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with condition monitoring, variable speed drives and lockout and tagout in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review condition monitoring and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Spot where variable speed drives is failing before it becomes a finding
- Put lockout and tagout on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Bring circuit breaker operation into line with current good practice
