Electrical Fault Finding Masterclass

5 days|Delivered on request

This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into transformer maintenance, motor control centres and the judgement calls that sit outside IEC standards. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission. Delegates leave able to work confidently with standby generation, earthing and bonding and cable fault location in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review standby generation and say plainly whether it is working, measured against IEC standards
  • Take ownership of earthing and bonding rather than escalating it
  • Explain cable fault location to someone who does not do the work
  • Put protection relays on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
