Electrical Installation Standards for Managers
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers condition monitoring and power factor correction from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical safety procedure, standby generation and electrical fault analysis in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where electrical safety procedure is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against recognised arc flash assessment practice
- Make a decision about standby generation without waiting for a specialist
- Review electrical fault analysis and say plainly whether it is working
- Improve lockout and tagout within their own organisation
