Electrical Installation Standards for Small and Medium Enterprises
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Electrical Installation Standards for Small and Medium Enterprises takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including lockout and tagout, protection relays and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with standby generation, substation operation and insulation testing in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about standby generation without waiting for a specialist, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Bring substation operation into line with current good practice
- Review insulation testing and say plainly whether it is working
- Spot where condition monitoring is failing before it becomes a finding
