Electrical Installation Standards in the Public Sector
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Electrical Installation Standards in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including lockout and tagout, protection relays and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with transformer maintenance, earthing and bonding and electrical safety procedure in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about transformer maintenance without waiting for a specialist, measured against IEC standards
- Review earthing and bonding and say plainly whether it is working
- Improve electrical safety procedure within their own organisation
- Put insulation testing on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
