Electrical Maintenance Planning for Managers

Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online

This programme is for the person accountable for the work rather than the person doing it. It covers circuit breaker operation and electrical fault analysis from the position of someone who must review, approve and answer for the output. Managers carry this because maintenance teams are increasingly expected to diagnose equipment they did not commission, and the accountability does not delegate cleanly. Delegates leave able to work confidently with motor control centres, electrical safety procedure and earthing and bonding in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Take ownership of motor control centres rather than escalating it, measured against IEC standards
  • Review electrical safety procedure and say plainly whether it is working
  • Improve earthing and bonding within their own organisation
  • Make a decision about lockout and tagout without waiting for a specialist
