Electrical Maintenance Planning Masterclass
Electrical and Power Engineering|5 days|Classroom or live online
This advanced programme assumes delegates already work in the field. It goes past the basics into lockout and tagout, switchgear maintenance and the judgement calls that sit outside the Occupational Health and Safety Act. At this level the constraint is rarely knowledge. It is judgement under pressure, which matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, standby generation and motor control centres in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Take ownership of circuit breaker operation rather than escalating it, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Explain standby generation to someone who does not do the work
- Bring motor control centres into line with current good practice
- Spot where substation operation is failing before it becomes a finding
