Electrical Safety in the Public Sector
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Electrical Safety in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including protection relays, standby generation and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with switchgear maintenance, electrical fault analysis and substation operation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where switchgear maintenance is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Improve electrical fault analysis within their own organisation
- Bring substation operation into line with current good practice
- Explain load flow analysis to someone who does not do the work
What the course covers
