Electrical Safety Reporting and Analytics
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
Electrical Safety Reporting and Analytics focuses on the measurement layer: what to count, what it means and how to present it. Delegates work through earthing and bonding and cable fault location and the reporting built on top of them. The reporting layer matters because ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for. Delegates leave able to work confidently with circuit breaker operation, variable speed drives and standby generation in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Explain circuit breaker operation to someone who does not do the work, measured against the SANS wiring code
- Make a decision about variable speed drives without waiting for a specialist
- Take ownership of standby generation rather than escalating it
- Put lockout and tagout on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
