Emergency Preparedness for Small and Medium Enterprises

Health, Safety and Environment|3 days|Classroom or live online

Emergency Preparedness for Small and Medium Enterprises takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including legal appointments and duties, occupational hygiene and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because safety systems are often documented to a standard that daily practice does not match, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with working at height, emergency preparedness and confined space entry in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Bring working at height into line with current good practice, measured against ISO 14001
  • Explain emergency preparedness to someone who does not do the work
  • Take ownership of confined space entry rather than escalating it
  • Review hazard identification and say plainly whether it is working
