Energy Efficiency Management: Tools and Techniques
Electrical and Power Engineering|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through standby generation and electrical safety procedure on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: ageing plant is being asked to carry loads it was never specified for, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with electrical fault analysis, circuit breaker operation and variable speed drives in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Make a decision about electrical fault analysis without waiting for a specialist, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Take ownership of circuit breaker operation rather than escalating it
- Spot where variable speed drives is failing before it becomes a finding
- Put substation operation on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
