Enterprise Risk Management for Non-Specialists

Risk and Compliance|2 days|Classroom or live online

Enterprise Risk Management for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through crisis management and business continuity planning without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because boards are being asked to evidence oversight, not merely assert it, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with risk appetite and tolerance, risk reporting to the board and control testing in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review risk appetite and tolerance and say plainly whether it is working, measured against the Basel framework
  • Spot where risk reporting to the board is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Explain control testing to someone who does not do the work
  • Improve third party risk within their own organisation
