Ergonomics in the Workplace for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through hazard identification and toolbox talks without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with personal protective equipment, safety culture and waste management in their own organisation.

  • Explain personal protective equipment to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Put safety culture on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Spot where waste management is failing before it becomes a finding
  • Review legal appointments and duties and say plainly whether it is working
