Ergonomics in the Workplace in the Public Sector

Health, Safety and Environment|3 days|Classroom or live online

Ergonomics in the Workplace in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including hazard identification, permit to work systems and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with emergency preparedness, confined space entry and risk assessment in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Spot where emergency preparedness is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against the Construction Regulations
  • Take ownership of confined space entry rather than escalating it
  • Improve risk assessment within their own organisation
  • Make a decision about safety management systems without waiting for a specialist
