Ethics in the Public Service: Tools and Techniques
Public Sector and Municipal Management|3 days|Classroom or live online
This is a hands-on programme. Delegates spend most of the time working through records management and ethics in the public service on live scenarios rather than listening to theory about them. The practical emphasis is deliberate: service delivery failures usually trace back to planning rather than to budget, and reading about the method has repeatedly proved insufficient. Delegates leave able to work confidently with integrated development planning, irregular expenditure and revenue management in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring integrated development planning into line with current good practice, measured against the PFMA
- Put irregular expenditure on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
- Improve revenue management within their own organisation
- Take ownership of annual reporting rather than escalating it
