Financial Due Diligence in the Public Sector

Finance and Accounting|3 days|Classroom or live online

Financial Due Diligence in the Public Sector takes the discipline and works it through the constraints of this operating context, including financial modelling, capital budgeting and the compliance obligations that come with it. The sector framing is necessary because audit findings are now a reputational matter as much as a technical one, and generic training rarely survives contact with the local rules. Delegates leave able to work confidently with audit readiness, financial statement preparation and lease accounting in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Review audit readiness and say plainly whether it is working, measured against IFRS for SMEs
  • Take ownership of financial statement preparation rather than escalating it
  • Explain lease accounting to someone who does not do the work
  • Put treasury operations on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
