First Aid Programme Management for Non-Specialists is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through risk assessment and safety culture without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because environmental obligations are increasingly enforced against named individuals, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with occupational hygiene, permit to work systems and hazard identification in their own organisation.

  • Explain occupational hygiene to someone who does not do the work, measured against the Construction Regulations
  • Take ownership of permit to work systems rather than escalating it
  • Put hazard identification on a footing they can defend to a reviewer
  • Spot where environmental impact assessment is failing before it becomes a finding
