Fundamentals of Event Communication
Communications and Public Relations|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Event Communication is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through reputation measurement and message development without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because internal communication failures surface later as engagement and retention problems, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with crisis communication, stakeholder mapping and social media strategy in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Improve crisis communication within their own organisation, measured against established corporate communication practice
- Take ownership of stakeholder mapping rather than escalating it
- Spot where social media strategy is failing before it becomes a finding
- Explain media relations to someone who does not do the work
