Fundamentals of Forecasting Techniques
Data and Business Intelligence|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Forecasting Techniques is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through DAX and calculated measures and scenario modelling without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because reporting effort scales badly when the underlying model is wrong, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with spreadsheet controls, data warehouse concepts and storytelling with data in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Review spreadsheet controls and say plainly whether it is working, measured against established visualisation principles
- Explain data warehouse concepts to someone who does not do the work
- Spot where storytelling with data is failing before it becomes a finding
- Make a decision about data quality management without waiting for a specialist
