Fundamentals of Grant Management
Public Sector and Municipal Management|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Grant Management is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through ethics in the public service and audit action planning without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because service delivery failures usually trace back to planning rather than to budget, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with supply chain compliance in government, annual reporting and service delivery planning in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Put supply chain compliance in government on a footing they can defend to a reviewer, measured against the MFMA
- Take ownership of annual reporting rather than escalating it
- Spot where service delivery planning is failing before it becomes a finding
- Explain asset management to someone who does not do the work
