Fundamentals of Instrumentation and Control
Electrical and Power Engineering|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Instrumentation and Control is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through earthing and bonding and variable speed drives without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because electrical incidents are among the few workplace risks that are immediately fatal, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with substation operation, arc flash assessment and electrical safety procedure in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Bring substation operation into line with current good practice, measured against IEC standards
- Spot where arc flash assessment is failing before it becomes a finding
- Explain electrical safety procedure to someone who does not do the work
- Improve circuit breaker operation within their own organisation
