Fundamentals of Measurement Uncertainty
Laboratory and Quality Management|2 days|Classroom or live online
Fundamentals of Measurement Uncertainty is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through supplier qualification and non-conformance management without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because an accreditation finding can stop a laboratory trading in a way no other quality failure does, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with sample handling and chain of custody, data integrity and technical record keeping in their own organisation.
What delegates leave able to do
- Spot where sample handling and chain of custody is failing before it becomes a finding, measured against ISO 17025
- Review data integrity and say plainly whether it is working
- Take ownership of technical record keeping rather than escalating it
- Explain quality management systems to someone who does not do the work
