Fundamentals of Method Validation

Laboratory and Quality Management|2 days|Classroom or live online

Fundamentals of Method Validation is built for delegates who need to be useful in this area quickly. It starts at first principles and works through proficiency testing and reagent management without assuming prior specialist training. The programme exists because quality managers are often appointed from the bench without management training, and because capability in this area is usually built on the job with no structure behind it. Delegates leave able to work confidently with accreditation preparation, supplier qualification and internal auditing in their own organisation.

What delegates leave able to do

  • Bring accreditation preparation into line with current good practice, measured against ISO 17025
  • Explain supplier qualification to someone who does not do the work
  • Review internal auditing and say plainly whether it is working
  • Take ownership of laboratory safety rather than escalating it
